Reason:I built this model because I feel passionate about the steam ship era. It was built based on the blueprints received directly from Greenwich Maritime Museum (the documents were old but still readable). My objective was to build a ship with a particular design, in fact these gun boats were often called 'flat iron'.
History: the gun boat HMS Fidget was part of a series of gunships built based on the projects of naval engineer Rendel. The gunship was used for coastal defense, 28 m long and armed with one 10 inch muzzle-loaded cannon.
